RE: 1-1-2022 change
The Board of Directors has elected to not insure solar panels at this time. They will be doing further research and may offer in the future.
But until then, if you know of any solar panels on an of your insureds properties, you will need to notify MMIC so that we can get them excluded from coverage.
We received notice that Rockford Mutual Ins. Co. will no longer offer equipment breakdown coverage effective 1-1-22.
All current RMIC policies, with equipment breakdown coverage, will continue until the policy renewal date in 2022, at which time the coverage will automatically roll over to MMIC/Travelers Boiler RE.
Mendota Mutual Insurance Company will begin offering Equipment Breakdown coverage and Buried Utility Line coverage effective 1-1-2022.
The RMIC policies that equipment breakdown will come off of, MMIC will pick up that coverage.
Downfall is that Travelers Boiler RE (company coverage is thru) has increased the premium for the coverage.
Attached are the brochures, the guideline/premium page and copies of the endorsements.
We will get these added to the manual pages asap.
