Company History
- August 2025 – Mendota Mutual celebrates 150 years of providing coverage for the people of Illinois.
- May 2025 – Mendota Mutual now operates in 94 of the 102 counties in Illinois.
- January 2024 – Berlin Mutual Insurance Company in Princeton, Illinois merged into Mendota Mutual.
- January 2003 – Independent Farmers Mutual Insurance Company in Ottawa, Illinois merged into Mendota Mutual.
- January 1987 – The Board of Directors voted to change the Company’s name to Mendota Mutual Insurance Company from Mendota, Troy Grove & Clarion Farmers Insurance Company.
- May 1875 – The Company issued its first policy.
- March 1875 – The Company applied and received its charter from the State of Illinois.
