Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV’s), otherwise known as drones, are becoming more and more common in today’s farming community. With increased fuel costs and time limitations, these UAV’s are being used for a variety of tasks, anywhere from  monitoring crops to checking on cattle. With new resources comes the need to insure these new exposures. It is important to understand that aviation exposures are excluded from our policies. Rockford Mutual Insurance Company feels that this is a specialty coverage and is best handled by the aviation division of the insurance marketplace.
