Effective 12-1-15, Mendota Mutual Ins. Co. will no longer contact your office to obtain the $20 reinstatement fee or statement of no loss.
Procedure:
If the premium is not paid on or before the premium due date, a cancellation notice will be mailed out and the reinstatement fee of $20 is applied.
If premium is received in our office without $20 reinstatement fee, we will accept payment including reinstatement fee and apply $20 premium to account to be invoiced on next billing. We allow one time waiving of the fee, this is not done automatically, it needs to be requested.
If the premium has not been received within 11 days of the due date, the policy is cancelled out of our system.
If payment is received in your office after the due date, you need to contact our office for verification of acceptance. REMINDER, if your office chooses to accept premium in cancellation status (day after due date), you are required to collect the full premium (including any fee) and have a statement of no loss signed. A copy of the check along with the signed statement of no loss will then be required to be faxed or e-mailed to our office. Refer to the Navigator for full amount due or call our office.
Anytime you receive premium in your office, you should let our office know by phone, fax or e-mail.
We will be including a mailing stuffer to remind customers to allow adequate mailing time, suggesting 5-7 days.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
